As of September 1, 2010 the new standard limit for non-catastrophic injuries is $50,000 and $1,000,000 for catastrophic injuries. It is possible to purchase an enhanced benefit coverage up to $1,100,000 for non-catastrophic injuries and 2,000,000 for catastrophic injuries

reasonable and necessary medical or rehabilitation benefits as a
result of the accident.

All assessments
requested by the insured will be deducted from the med/rehab
limits

Assessments
capped at $2,000.

This is
important as, according to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, for every
$1 on claims under $10,000, $0.80 is also spent on
assessments and for every $1 on claims over $10,000, $0.60 is
also spent on assessments

employer to offset any cost of medical, rehabilitation or
prescription medication?
If so, how much?
q Do you have any pre-existing conditions or injuries that may delay your recovery from an injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident?
This coverage is
strongly recommended
unless the insured is fully covered by an alternative policy of
coverage. (i.e. coverage through employment group benefits.)
